Dan is an award-winning journalist and editor, having spent many years in the newspaper and magazine field, in both news and sports. He has also been on radio and Cable TV.
As a public relations specialist, he has worked on projects for an assortment of regional and national retail, manufacturing, healthcare, sports and leisure businesses, and has helped promote and coordinate dozens of music festivals and scores of special events, from comedy shows to major fundraisers. With Dan's assistance, fundraisers for non-profit organizations have raised over a half-million dollars.
The author of five books, including Phil Rizzuto: A Yankee Tradition, Hirshberg was a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the Board of Directors for United Way of Warren County, and is currently on the Executive Board of the Hope Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the advisory board of the House of the Good Shepherd Retirement Community. In addition, he is the former President of the Kiwanis Club of Hackettstown, is on the planning committee of Washington Celebrates America, and is active in many other community-based programs.
Melanie is an award-winning publicist who is experienced in journalism, editing, and creative writing. She has been creating content with CHP for 15 years, moving her way up to account executive and vice president. She aims to help the company expand their reach in the tri-state area. Her role at CHP has allowed her to work with a vast array of clientele and projects that include press releases, event news, profiles, features, pamphlets, bios, and more. She treats each client with the same amount of care, regardless of size, and is especially interested in working with community-based programs, small businesses and non-profits. She is trained and has expertise in print and online content creation and distribution, including social media and blog platforms.
Melanie holds degrees in Professional and Creative Writing and has taught writing and the English language in private and community institutions. She is the author of a chapbook and has bylines across the media spectrum.
